Are you up to it! Can you make it the 4.2 km to the other side?

In February we invite you to be part of the 2011 Across Lake Taupo swim, an event that began back in the 1970’s. Since then thousands have competed in this annual event, testing themselves over the 4.2km distance from Acacia Bay to 3 Mile Bay.

This year hundreds will take up the challenge and at 7.00am will begin their attempt on the 2011 Across the Lake Swim.

2010 Youngest Swimmer
10 year old Ronin Whelan took out the Across the Lake Swim 2010 Youngest Swimmer's trophy and completed the 4.2k swim in 1:54:55. Ronin and his family are avid swim participants and supporters with his Mum an AC Baths Swim Academy instructor and Zane his 12 year old brother who also finished this swim event to complete the Erin Baker Award.
